Later this year the 22nd Culinary Olympics will be held in Erfurt, Germany. Held every four years, over 40 nations are already registered with more than one thousand chefs, cooks and confectioners all competing for medals and the Olympic champion title. The event runs from the 19th to 22nd October 2008.

Representing Australia at the Olympics is The Australian Culinary Team and will this year consist of 11 of Australia’s best chefs. The team includes; 

Rick Stephen: (QLD) Co-Team Manager - Executive chef Brisbane Club
Glenn Austin (QLD) Co-Team Manager - Principal of X-treme Chef Consulting
Gary Farrell ( VIC ) Assistant to Team Management
Adrian Tobin (WA) Team Captain in 2008  - Executive Chef, Perth Convention Exhibition Centre
Matt McBain (VIC) - Consultant in Catering and Culinary Services
John Lanzafame: (NSW) - Executive Chef at Le Sands Pavilion
Andre Kropp: (TAS) - Executive Chef of the Henry Jones Art Hotel
Neil Abrahams: (ACT) - Executive Chef of the Royal Canberra Golf Club
Shannon Kellam  ( QLD ) - Chef Consultant
Shane Keighley : (WA) - Executive Chef of the Mullaloo Beach Hotel in Perth
Pierrick Boyer (VIC) - Executive Pastry Chef at the prestigious RACV Club in Melbourne
