While in Rhode Island last week, Lindsey Potter from the Newport Yacht Club asked if I would appear on the local CBS News Early Show to promote the Rhode Island Chowder Cook-off. Even though this meant a early night the evening before, it was a great way to promote our clam chowder.

The interview was with Michelle Muscatello who does the morning weather on CBS News WPRI. I talked about the unique native Australian ingredients which are increasing in popularity around the world and which gave our clam chowder its creativeness. Also there for the interview Larry Mellum, owner of the award winning Pike Place Chowder, in Seattle.

I also had a few seconds of time to plug of my cookbook, the Dining Downunder Cookbook and website.

I was amazed at the amount of people that had seen both of us on the CBS News Early show and who were interested on where they could purchase some of the ingredients we used.
