After heaps of Facebook invites from friends and family, I finally caved into the pressure and yesterday setup a profile on Facebook.

For those that don’t know Facebook is the fastest growing social networking site on the internet with over 30 million users and over 150,000 new registrations per day. There is no doubt in the coming months, that Facebook will become bigger than Myspace. I’ve never really been interested in Myspace, and before signing up at Facebook one of the interesting things I found was an article about the demographics of a Facebook user compared to a Myspace user. Facebook is a great way to connect and network with friends and meet people who share common interests. I’ve already joined the American Chef Federation group and if you’re a foodie there are groups like the Addicted to the Food Network Group as well as a number of celebrity chef fan groups already well established on Facebook, some with thousands of members.
One of the interesting aspects of Facebook is the ability to add applications to your Facebook profile, some ranging from Trip Planners to recipes and cocktails. Apart from the application you can share photos and videos also; I’ve just uploaded my showreel.
