Food Network Blog

As I travel to America regularly on business, I sometimes get a chance to relax and watch a variety of cooking shows on the Food Network. For those that don’t know, The Food Network is part of the Scripps Network which broadcasts cooking shows 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Recently the Food Network published the Food Network Blog offering readers a behind the scenes look into the kitchens of the celebrity chefs at the Food Network’s studio kitchen in the Chelsea Markets, New York (75 Ninth Avenue New York) right next to New York’s meat packing district. In these kitchens meals and recipes are developed for the popular cooking shows such as Iron Chef America, Throw Down with Bobby Flay, The Next Food Network Star, Emeril Live, Good Deal with Dave Lieberman, Inside Dish with Rachael Ray and Good Eats with Alton Brown just to name a few.

Many of the articles on the Food Network Blog are written by the actual staff from the Food Network Kitchens including recipe testers, purchasing staff and food stylists. Each article includes a suitable photo which offers readers a real insight to behind the scenes. For Iron Chef America fans, there is even one article about searching for a possible (meaty) secret ingredient for Iron Chef America.

Personally, the Food Network Blog offers me a greater understanding of not only what happens at the Food Network but an understanding of the palate of America and some of the upcoming trends in food. I wonder when the Food Network will make its way to Australia?

Anyway, The Food Network Blog can be found at http://blogs.foodnetwork.com/food/foodnetworkkitchens/
