For the past few weeks Adam Tedeschi, Creative Director of Wiliam Web Design in Sydney, has had the task of designing my new logo and branding.
Adam’s brief was to create a logo that oozes Australian simplicity whilst creating significant branding. The logo is to be used in all correspondence, stationary, brochures, web sites, posters, chef jackets as well as on consumer products and product endorsement opportunities in the future.
The final result is a logo which appears relaxed, yet elegant and refined. Under my name are three colour elements. These three vibrant and earthy colours each represent a different environment of Australia; these being the rainforest, desert and ocean.
Hidden in each of these environments is a vast array of foods which formed the diet of the Aboriginal people. Think of succulent fruits from the rainforest, the berries and seeds from the desert as well as the crustaceans and fish from our oceans that make up the basis of Australian Cuisine.
