Following the highly successful 2005 Australia Day lamb campaign, Sam Kekovich is back with another of the successful Australia Day lamb TV commercial for Meat & Livestock Australia.

This year Sam Kekovich outlines how Australian lamb could have prevented many recent incidences of unAustralianism, and to be Australian all you need to do is whack some nice juicy lamb chops on the barbie this Australia Day.

The commercials will be airing across Australia from Sunday 15th January until Australia Day, 26th January. The Australia Day are supported by radio and press advertising and with retail point-of-sale in butcher stores and supermarkets nationally.

“Lamb is truly an Australian icon. And Sam Kekovich’s message is loud and clear – it would be unAustralian not to celebrate our national day by throwing some lamb on the barbie,” said Mr David Thomason, General Manager Marketing, Meat & Livestock Australia

The 2005 Australia Day Sam Kekovich campaign was very successful last year, with the number of lamb serves increasing from 24.2 million serves per week in February 2004 to 25.4 million serves per week in February 2005 – an increase of 1.2 million lamb serves per week.
