Today, Vic Cherikoff and I held Australian cooking classes at the chefs warehouse, Surfas Culver City in Los Angeles. Surfas is well known for its selection of high end culinary products and is frequented by many of Los Angeles best chefs.
The Australian cooking classes we hosted were in Surfas’s test kitchen which is well setup for demonstrations and features the latest equipment. Instead of doing two or three dishes we decided that we should provide a range of quick and easy to prepare recipes which would allow us to show case nearly the entire range of Vic Cherikoff herbs, spices, infused oils and sauces.
Some of the dishes we prepared included ;
- Wattleseed, white chocolate and macadamia nut cookies
- Forest Anise cookies
- Paperbark smoked olives
- Alpine pepper dip with corn chips
- Sautéed shrimp with yakajirri and lemon myrtle
- Wildfire spiced chicken tenderloins
- Wattleseed pavlova
Well known in the trade for restaurant supply, Surfas is located at the corner of National Blvd and Washington Blvd in Culver City. Apart from the store location they operate Surfas Online where you can order online for delivery nationally across the USA. The majority of the Vic Cherikoff range is available from Surfas.
