Hungry Chef is for the bitter line cook, the stressed out sous chef and the overworked executive chef. Foodies, gastronomic noobs and all the rest are invited to take a peek as well.
Chilean born Erio G. Cavalieri is the Hungry Chef. Raised and based in New York City, chef Erio writes about everything food related. Food talk, recipes, libations, food photography, cookbooks, mixology, kitchen equipment and gadgets, are all part of the show. You will even find culinary life hacks, so be prepared for some cooking techniques, methodology as well as suggestions and reviews for computer software and applications (food, blogging and getting things done related of course).
Chef Erio attended the Institute of Culinary Education. He graduated from their Culinary and Restaurant Management Programs. He has received a certificate from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust.
Currently, Erio is a chef instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education and chef for the Chilean Trade Commission in New York. He is also a freelance food stylist for the Food Network. There, he has worked on shows for Emeril Lagasse, Bobby Flay, Rachel Ray, Tyler Florence, Iron Chef America and Food Bites. Additionally, he has cooked in two, three and four-star restaurants, has worked as a fromager and sold wine.
Erio collects cookbooks, pre and post prohibition cocktail/mixology books.
Chef Erio is a member of Slow Food, American Institute of Food & Wine, Museum of the American Cocktail, National Barbecue Association and the Kansas City Barbecue Association.
