The Singapore Chefs Association website is filled with news of culinary competitions in which the Singapore Chefs have won awards, upcoming competitions, and other events such as meetings and picnics. The Constitution of the Singapore Chefs Association lists its objectives as, among other things: to promote friendship and cooperation among culinary professionals; to promote high standards in cooking; to foster and promote culinary education; and to sponsor scholarships and competitions. There is a letter from the President, highlighting some of the major current events, and a link to membership information and an online form to join.
Membership benefits of the Singapore Chefs Association include cooking-related newsletters and meetings, and other events such as bowling and tennis tournaments. There is also a link to the Singapore Junior Chef’s Club. Singapore Chefs Association is a member of WACS (World Association of Chefs Societies), and the website has a link to the WACS webpage. The online newsletter contains news of members, a recipe of the month, student of the month, industry trends, events, and job opportunities. There are links to recipes, training videos, many other organizations from around the world from the Singapore Cooking School and Spice Garden to Swiss Hotel News to Haagen-Dazs. The Singapore Chefs Association maintains a forum on the website that posts inquiries and information on general topics, industry information, and jobs.
