Imagine a mortar and pestle that you shake like a cocktail mixer. Well Jamie Oliver has designed exactly that and called it the Jamie Oliver Flavour Shaker. My girlfriend actually gave me one for Christmas and I love it.
As the name suggests it shakes, crushes, grinds, mixes the ingredients with its ceramic ball to create dressings, marinade and sauces. Simply put all the ingredients in with the ceramic ball, then close the top of the Flavour Shaker, then shake madly. The design of the Jamie Oliver Flavour Shaker is very clever and the shape easily moulds your hand.
You’ll quickly see the ingredients combine together. As soon as you open the Flavour Shaker you’re hit with the wonderful aromas of what you’re made. The contents are then easily poured or spooned over your food. The Flavour Shaker can also be used to make dry rubs and mix spices.
Some of the things I’ve made so far include lemon myrtle mayonnaise, my Australian Dukkah and I’ve made a wattleseed paste which I use in my wattleseed and banana bread.
